As part of a public service mission, we would like to inform you that the SOS MAIN at Clinique Axium, a member of the FESUM, will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, during this period of confinement linked to the Coronavirus pandemic.

These measures may be modified according to developments and in line with national guidelines.

Where are emergency services located?

What is the emergency department like?

The 7 hand surgeons working in the emergency department are on hand to welcome you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The nursing and/or medical team decide on the order in which patients are seen, based on their state of health and not just the order in which they arrive.

Children must be accompanied by a parent.

How many people pass through our emergency departments each year?

5920 patients operated on at the Hand Centre, including 2019 who arrived as emergencies, in 2019 (up 15% on 2018).

What can your visit be like?

Your family will be asked to wait in the waiting room during your medical examination; they will be kept informed of the progress of your care.

EXAMINATIONS
During your care, you may be asked to undergo medical examinations such as imaging (X-rays, scans, MRIs) and laboratory tests.

OPERATIONS
Depending on your state of health, an operation may be necessary.

HOSPITALISATION
Depending on your state of health, you may be referred to a hospital ward. You will be asked to leave your personal belongings and valuables with your family.

RETURN HOME

When you are discharged, you will be given certain items, if necessary:

  • Prescriptions, medical certificate, sick leave,
  • Appointment for a consultation,
  • Test results,

Technical facilities

Our hand centre has a high-performance technical platform (operating theatre, scanner, MRI, radiology, etc.).

The 3-storey department, under video surveillance and with restricted access, is made up of :

  • Ground floor
    • 4 consultation offices
    • 1 secretary's office
    • 1 office for orthotists
  • Garden level
    • Emergency reception and surgery reception
    • Secretariat
    • 1 emergency room with equipment for plaster, scopy, etc.
    • 3 treatment rooms: dressing
    • 2 waiting rooms: 1 for emergencies, 1 for admission to the operating theatre
    • 4 cubicles
    • Cloakroom and waiting room dedicated to the operating theatre and 1 large tea room
  • In the operating theatre
    • 2 operating theatres
    • 1 SSPI room
