''Information Regarding the Clinic’s Participation in the First French Federated Health Metadata Catalog
By Decision No. DT-2026-001 dated February 11, 2026, Tune Insight was authorized by the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) to implement, in its capacity as data controller, an automated data processing system aimed at creating a metadata catalog for the identification of healthcare institutions for clinical research purposes. These processing activities are carried out in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, as amended (together, the “Applicable Regulations”).
In this context, our institution has entered into a partnership with Tune Insight for the purpose of creating a federated catalog of aggregated and anonymized metadata. This catalog is generated through automated queries—via the information system provided by Softway Medical—on our patients’ data, provided that they do not object to such processing.
The catalog covers historical data for a period of up to ten (10) years from the date of this notice.
The purpose of creating this catalog is to enable research organizations to identify healthcare institutions in which clinical studies may be conducted, while ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements applicable to the processing of health data in France. Research organizations only have access to data that has been previously and automatically anonymized by Tune Insight.
No processing or export of personal data takes place outside the institution’s secure environment.
By joining this network, our healthcare institutions retain full control over their patients’ data and local governance at all times, while helping to increase the visibility of their research capabilities and promote the development of new clinical studies.
The creation of the catalog therefore relies on the automated querying, aggregation, and anonymization of patient data from partner institutions by Tune Insight.
The healthcare institutions participating in the Tune Insight network are as follows:
Patients, or their legal representatives, may exercise their rights under the Applicable Regulations, including the right to object:
