Surgeon Eric Bautrant, a gynaecological surgeon at the Axium clinic, is chairing the 2016 Convergences conference on pelvic-perineal pain in Aix-en-Provence.

On 15, 16 and 17 September, the Convergences PP (Pelvi-Périnéales) 2016 conference will be held at the Palais des Congrès in Aix-en-Provence, chaired by Dr Bautrant, an obstetrician-gynaecologist practising at the Clinique Axium.

This annual conference, which has been held since 1999, brings together doctors, gynaecologists and surgeons involved in the management of pelvi-perineal pain in their patients.

Pelvic-perineal pain is chronic and affects several organ specialities: urology, gynaecology and gastroenterology. This pain can be disabling in patients' daily lives, and is often triggered after an operation or childbirth.

Specialising in pelvic surgery and gynaecology, Dr Eric Bautrant has been involved in chronic pelvic-perineal pain for many years: endometriosis, neuralgia, interstitial cystitis, post-traumatic, post-operative or post-partum lesions. His medical and surgical expertise make this practitioner a national reference.
